Yeah, you're not throwing that thing. That whole bike was just a beautiful piece of work in general. I had no idea Acme achieved that level of righteousness.
Definitely. I'm not usually one for a lot of nice and shiney, but that bike was spot on. Those guys have some skill
does anyone know the origin of that primary so i can be humbled by how much it costs?
Tech Cycle...Paul Cox signature primary, I think.$1500
Oooops!Paul Cox Signature Series Primary Chain Drive System (With Clutch )this is the price for the complte kick start unit with lock up clutch, the complete ELECTRIC start unit with starter and clutch is $2469.00
wonder how much it would be without the signature....
...or the Cox. Regardless, $1195.00 for the kick-only option sans clutch."Note: Primary drive not legal or intended for street use."
How difficult would it be to machine the teeth off a clutch basket, and weld in its place a perfectly flat & level 520 sprocket from McMaster? The engine sprocket doesn't seem like too big a challenge. I'm serious! I have no idea.
That would be one way, except I don't know how much of clutch assemblies are steel...I sure wouldn't want to play that game with aluminum sprockets.
