Shocking!

It's amazing what a difference good suspension makes. These little babies couples with a set of truly progressive fork springs also from Works Performance make the old GS handle SO much better. I'd say it's like riding a newer bike, but I wouldn't know....

Desmo Drama

Vintage pushrod American motors are primitive, but it sure is easy to keep the valves adjusted...not needing the micrometers, collets, feeler gauges and maths required by a certain Italian marque...

Shuckin' and Jivin'

Pants off dance off! The Captain shuckin' and jivin' vs. Paul's mad break dance skills. Winner? You be the judge...

98? I think it's time for some heavier oil.

Damn, commuting today was like riding 40 miles into a blast furnace.

I have never been able to properly explain myself in this climate. Not with the soaking sweats...wild red eyeballs and trembling hands.

Goodbye, forlorn forty five

Here are two bikes I'm sick of looking at, and they're both going to see Mr. Roche. With the power of Jay on my side the 45 will come back looking like the beautiful motorcycle that now lurks deep inside - like a princess kissing a frog. I never want to see the CB again; I've been tripping over it for years. I also have this partially race-prepped, heavily modded CB (ask me for details, I don't want to bore the populace) that I'm trying to foist onto Mr. Roche. If I'm unsuccessful, it too will go on the chopping block.

Dingleball bike.

Tony tells me "Put a sissy bar on that bike too!"
Now he can use it to hang panties or Confederate flags or whatever.

Little belt issue this morning

My probably-needs-to-be-rebuilt 1951 transmission occasionally "pauses" between gears, today was the perfect storm of heat, RPM and pause, the result was about 120 of the 132 teeth being stripped of my drive belt.

Tried using the jam bar to get the front sprocket off which didn't work very well, then tried to remove the Primo clutch hub, again a fail. Finally did what I should of done in the first place, the old rope in the cylinder, worked perfectly, new belt on in 5 minutes.

Your primary concern...

HG, I too know the shame.

little by little

a smarter man would take parts off the bike while attempting to polish(just so there is no confusion, that is a SPCL79 weld, not mine)
