Heatwave

Since it's supposed to be a toasty 12ยบ tomorrow I figured I should get my bike back together.

Thanks Jay(NY)

I stole this from NY Jay, I believe it will work as a hinge on my '72, notice I made sure to use 2 different fasteners to stay in character, plus it says 72.

I'll play, but it's gay.

Not actual bike, merely a representation.
First bike, the fearsome Kawasaki 454 LTD. Don't let it's looks fool you, it was a real clam. What the hell was I thinking. Anyway, I didn't "bobber" it or anything stupid; I sold it to get an '84 Ironhead. I guess that's another kind of stupidity...

another first bike

This was my first bike. 1977 (I think) CB400F Super Sport. My Mom took me to get my car learners permit when I turned 16, she was so pissed when she realized she paid for the motorcycle permit instead. She was even more pissed when I came home with this. Ridden to work all summer rain or shine to my full time job at BC Industries Sandblasting Co.

What I Wouldn't Give...

...To take this for a spin.

Ritmo Sereno LeMans

I am on a Moto Guzzi Kick lately. This Guzzi cafe is as perfect as perfect gets as far as I'm concerned. Check out the build on the Ritmo Sereno blog. Pic was lifted from Bikeexif.com.

Tan plastic

is the new black leather.

Baja pic

My friend Gregg of Dataharvest Inc. took a trip to ride some bikes this summer. I am doing this the next time plans are made, and some of you guys better come along.

This one is for HG...

... because he loves the look of Guzzi motors so much. Some pretty cool Guzzi makeovers here, but this is my favorite. Someday I'll make a decision on what I'll do with my Eldorado motor and frame.

Zero carbon bike EV-OR TTXGP

Read more at The Kneeslider. Pretty cool stuff.

Mood Lighting

I will admit, the Captain can catch the lighting right.

When we start our band...

...and get pompadours, pink Chucks & matching hats with the California roll...we should at least cover "Chopped & Bobbed 74"; maaaaaaybe "Knobber Hill".

Because it's bloody cold today...

Bawb's post reminded me how nice it was here. No, I am not wearing a Bill Cosby patterned sweater...
