I don't care that Indians were woefully obsolete by the time the Springfield factory shut its doors in the 1950s. When the demand 1/2 of supply and demand goes away, it's simply an indication that those with purchasing power suck - not a reason to stop production. Here are a few pics from Indian day here in the City. The highlight of the day was watching the puds on modern "Indians" get directed away from the cool parking lot. Whoever says that Indian had no cutting-edge technology to offer at the end never saw the "New England" model with optional skis. Check that out, along with the unrestored racebike that still has me giddy.
