I don't care that Indians were woefully obsolete by the time the Springfield factory shut its doors in the 1950s. When the demand 1/2 of supply and demand goes away, it's simply an indication that those with purchasing power suck - not a reason to stop production. Here are a few pics from Indian day here in the City. The highlight of the day was watching the puds on modern "Indians" get directed away from the cool parking lot. Whoever says that Indian had no cutting-edge technology to offer at the end never saw the "New England" model with optional skis. Check that out, along with the unrestored racebike that still has me giddy.

Twin Cam Tracker
I saw this on the Belladonna Trackers page, so they get the credit (check them out when you get a chance, they post some good stuff), but I thought it was a pretty neat Twin Cam. I haven't really seen a well done twinkie custom that I've liked, but this one makes me swoon. Pretty cool stuff, although the intercooler sticking out kinda gets to me.

Steve's Pan
When reading the comments on the Tim O'Keefe post I was shocked to see someone beside us idiots had commented and noticed the profile pic was a very nice Panhead. I emailed Steve and asked if he would share some pics of his bike which he was gracious enough to send over. Thanks for the pics Steve and for actually checking out our blog.
Speed E Shift
I keep coming across saved pics on my computer of the Speed E Shift, thought I would put them up for anyone who hasn't read about them before.

The way it works is this: To downshift you pull in on a lever on the handlebars (usually a modified British compression release). That raises the shifter rod on the transmission and engages the downshift portion of the mechanisim. Push down on the clutch pedal which disengages the clutch and shifts the trans into first. Once it's in gear you release the lever as all it does is move the shift rod into engagement with the downshift cogs on the Speedy Shift. After you release the clutch and start moving every time you push on the pedal it up shifts at the same time. To downshift just pull on the handlebar lever and every time you push on the clutch it shifts down
