1)Some skidding, nothing that should cause spokes to snap
2)Eat a bag of cocks, i've built every wheel I've used and never broken a spoke
3)I am starting to think it's the rim/hub combo, changed out the three spokes and trued the wheel, if it happens again I'm switching back to an OEM 18" hoop.
4)sidenote: if you take the air out of your tire you can push the nipple far enough in to install new spokes without removing the tire.
You can't be serious. Don't tell me you've been skidding into the Alamo.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, you might want to start having a professional do those for you....
ReplyDeleteI'll say it again, but something's not right with that setup.
ReplyDeleteIt can't be all Herb's fault, they're SPOKES for chrissakes.

You think it's the angles from the hoop to the hub that are doing it? It's the older spokes that are snapping, right?
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing hole angles are the problem at this point, too.
ReplyDeleteI can't offer any useful knowledge here, but thanks to Herb I'm going to tell everyone I know to eat a bag of cocks.
ReplyDeleteI'ts definitely the rim/hub combo, remember that conversation 3 months ago? As you've said in the past though, plenty of people have run this combo.
